The Fond du Lac Artists Association, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was formed in 1968. About 70 professional and nonprofessional artists belong to the Fond du Lac Artists Association, representing a wide range of talents including painting, photography, iconography, pottery, wood turning, and mixed media.
Our Mission:
The mission of the Association is to encourage the creative growth of area artists and youth, and to promote community awareness of local talent in the field of the visual arts.
Youth Programs:
Scholarships are awarded annually to area high school seniors who are continuing their education in some field of the visual arts. The association also supports various children’s art programs and events in the community.
Special Events:
Summer Art Fair
This popular event is held the first Sunday in June at Lakeside Park. Over 60 exhibitors from across the state and beyond participate. This family event also features live music, kids crafts , a raffle, and food.
Annual Membership Exhibit:
Artwork created by members is featured in the gallery at the FDL Public Library each November. The show is Judged. An opening reception is held with a critique of the winning art presented by the judge.
Wisconsin Regional Art Program:
The Association sponsors a WRAP exhibit in spring at the FDL Public Library. Nonprofessional artists from across the state exhibit their work. The art is judged and a workshops is held on the last day of the show.
Meetings & Newsletter:
Meetings are held monthly from September through May. An artist demonstration is presented at each meeting. Special art workshops and field trips are also scheduled throughout the year. A newsletter is published monthly September through May to keep members informed.
